Syracuse Public Library Announcements
Did you know your local library has many government and business pamphlets and materials that are free to view or keep? People look to the library for copies of income tax materials, but the library is also a source for information about many agencies and organizations throughout the year.
Government agencies that issue permits print documents of their findings that can be viewed at the library closest to the proposed project. Currently, NIPSCO is providing information to all of the libraries along the proposed Reynolds Topeka power-line project. The latest documents available for public inspection are for the bridge overpass that will route traffic over U.S. Highway 6 on CR 29 north of Syracuse. The Indiana Department of Transportation is offering a comment time for interested persons at 6 p.m. Aug. 28, in the Wawasee High School Auditorium. The design plans and environment document are available for review at the Syracuse Library.
Look to the library for festival information and local events, information about classes, government programs, and proposals. Have a safe summer, as the MACO Gazette reminds us; bike right, walk left, and drive wise.
