This week’s crime of the week comes from the files of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
On Monday, Aug. 5, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department took a Burglary and Theft report from an address in the 3000 East block of 100 N.. This address is just south of the Chapman Lake area.
The home owner came home from work to find his large safe had been broken into. The safe had been cut open and the suspect(s) took a Smith & Wesson .357 revolver, three semi-automatic handguns, a H&R lever action .44 caliber rifle, a Mossburg 550 shotgun, a Winchester shotgun, a bolt action Remington 770 rifle as well as miscellaneous jewelry and several hundred dollars cash.
