Accidents
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Saturday, 2 p.m. Huntington Street, south of West Henry Street. Drivers: Lisa D. McNiel, 38, CR 29, Syracuse; and Dennis M. Sharp, 73, North Grove Road, Milford. McNiel did not see Sharp’s vehicle starting to turn and struck the driver’s side rear of Sharp’s vehicle. Damage: up to $5,000
Friday, 11:57 a.m. East Main Street, west of North Lake Street. Drivers: Bo Walbridge, 23, North Shore Lane, Syracuse; and Lydia E. Hochstetler, 27, CR 36, Goshen. Walbridge was westbound on East Main Street and as he came around the curve did not see a horse and buggy driven by Hochstetler. Walridge’s vehicle struck the buggy causing the driver to be thrown. Hoschstetler was taken to IU Health Goshen complaining of upper leg pain. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, July 26, 5:22 p.m. South Huntington Street, south of East Chicago Street. Drivers: Roberto Flores, 40, Edgewater Drive, Syracuse; and Mark S. Whealy, 53, Ravine Road, Goshen. Flores’ vehicle struck the back of the Whealy vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
Incidents
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Saturday, 6:07 p.m. Officials at Casey’s General Store, South Huntington Street, Syracuse, reported a drive off of $15 in gasoline.
- Thursday, 6:30 a.m. Officials at Greenhaus Apartments, East Chicago Street, Syracuse, reported someone removed a door from the office and took a safe containing a small amount of cash.
- Monday, July 29, 3:30 p.m. Alaina Madewell, South Walnut Street, Syracuse, reported a lost or stolen iPod touch.
- Monday, July 29, 8:09 a.m. Officials at Casey’s General Store, South Huntington Street, Syracuse, reported a drive off of $35.01 in gasoline.
Arrests
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently made the following arrests:
- Monday, 3:18 p.m. Michelle Noetzel, 41, Goshen, was arrested for driving while suspended prior. Noetzel was stopped on South Huntington Street after a check of the license plate found she was suspended. Bond: $305
- Saturday, 11:25 p.m. Larry Plew, 19, Terre Haute, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine. Police were called to a location on Turkey Creek Road, Syracuse, where an individual was threatening to harm himself. Bond: $2,000
