KCH Hosts Health And Wellness Courses
The Kosciusko Community Hospital Health and Wellness Center will be presenting two community education classes this fall. “Going Gluten Free” will be taught at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays from Sept. 10 through Oct. 15. This 6-week series will teach how to live a gluten-free lifestyle.
The classes will be taught by registered dietitian Wanda Cullison and registered nurse Liza Schuh. These instructors will lead participants through the steps to a healthy, gluten-free lifestyle that will also include recreating dishes from foods that are traditionally high in gluten. Liza Schuh will teach participants how to prepare tasty gluten-free versions of these foods. The cost is $65.
The second class, “FORM” (Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis Management) will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays Sept. 10 through Oct. 3. This four-week program will help those who suffer from arthritis. The focus of the program is how to maintain or increase daily activity levels without increasing joint pain, inflammation or swelling. The cost is $65.
