Free Water Play Days, Canoeing At Center Lake
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will host two more free events at Center Lake.
The first event on Tuesday, Aug. 6, is free community canoeing at Center Lake Beach. Canoes and equipment will be available to use from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Canoes are first-come, first-served and may be used in timed increments.
No registration is required, however, each participant must have an annual waiver on file before participating. Waivers must be signed by a parent for participants under age 18.
One final date for community canoeing is planned for the summer at Center Lake Beach on Saturday, Aug. 24.
Also, on Thursday, Aug. 8, The first will be a free Water Play Day in Central Park from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. The play day will be for kids ages 6-12. Participants should meet at the west picnic shelter.
Park department staff will lead children in fun water games and activities, including water balloons and group challenges. Parent involvement is not required, but parents should remain present during the program.
