Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Thursday, 3:50 a.m. County Farm Road north of CR 900 South, Claypool. Driver: Trey M. Burbank, 20, South County Farm Road, Silver Lake. Due to heavy fog Burbank was unable to see the road and ran off the road striking a pole. He sustained a lower leg or foot injury. Damages: up to $2,500
Wednesday, 6:47 a.m. North SR 15 and West 900 North, Milford. Drivers: Michael Ernsperger, 26, Riley Road, Bremen; and Dara L. Munson, 25, Lincoln Park, Warsaw. Ernsperger pulled into the path of Munson. Damages: up to $10,000
Wednesday, 1:09 p.m. West 1350 North and North 700 West, Nappanee. Drivers: Dexter R. Sparks, 24, West 300 North, Etna Green; and Rebecca S. McDowell, 59, Fairway Drive, North Port, Fla. Sparks failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of McDowell’s vehicle. Sparks sustained severe bleeding to his head. McDowell complained of arm pain. Damages: up to $25,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Wednesday, 2:13 p.m. Anchorage Road east of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Charlie O. Farmer, 36, South Pleasant Street, Silver Lake; and L.M. Pfister, 61, Faunn Street, Winona Lake. Farmer was eastbound on Anchorage Road waiting on westbound traffic so he could make a left turn onto a private drive. One westbound vehicle stopped to allow Farmer to proceed, but Farmer pulled into the path of a second westbound vehicle approaching from the side. Farmer complained of lower arm pain. Damages: up to $2,500
