Cromwell Fest Announces 2013 Parade Winners
The Cromwell Days Festival has announced its parade winners. The theme for this year’s festival was “Growing Up Cromwell.” Four categories were judged: family, business, organization and antique vehicles.
The best overall use of theme went to Farmers Cafe, 116 N. Jefferson, Cromwell. The cafe was generous enough to donate it’s winnings back to the festival. The Beers took home the family award.
Farmers Cafe also took home first place in the business category. Avalon Village, Ligonier, took second. Noble County West Library, Cromwell, took third.
In the organization category, Trinity Assembly of God, Ligonier, took first. Cromwell Youth Baseball/softball, represented by Troy and Teresa Airgood, was second. Third went to Daughters of the American Revolution, represented by Sarah Tuttle, Cromwell.
For antique vehicles, Travis Gow, Cromwell, took first. Second place was awarded to Tire Star from Ligonier.
The parade took place on Saturday, July 20. Cash prizes were $75 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.
