Vivian B. Holderbaum
Vivian B. Holderbaum, 90, of Syracuse, Ind., and formerly of Goshen, Ind., passed away at her home in the morning on Monday, July 29, 2013.
She was born April 5, 1923, in Goshen, to Dewey Lynn Martin and Zelda (Spry) Ware. She married Milo E. Holderbaum on Dec. 20, 1941. He died preceded her in death.
A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. Holderbaum was a member of People’s Bible Church where she showed her love for others by praying for them. She assisted her husband in his home construction business. She loved being a homemaker and caring for her children and grandchildren. In her younger years she enjoyed camping and fishing.
She is survived by two sons: Robert (Debbie) and Jack (Evelyn) Holderbaum, both of Syracuse; a daughter: Bonnie (Frank) Kahn, Leesburg, Ind.; five grandchildren: and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father: John Ware; her husband; and three brothers: Cleo Martin; and Richard and Harry Ware Jr.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, at People’s Bible Church, Benton, Ind. Pastor John Randolph will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
