Warsaw Parks Hosting Family Carnival
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will host their annual Family Carnival event on Friday, Aug. 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Central Park. Families can enjoy games, activities, giant inflatables, face painting and more.
Game tickets will be 25 cents each, or $5 punch cards (equal to 20 tickets) will be available for purchase at the West Picnic Shelter. Only cash can be accepted.
There will be a free animal show by the Fort Wayne Zoo at 6:30 p.m. at the small stage next to the ticket shelter. A dance troupe from Deb Collier’s School of Dance will perform at 7:30 p.m. Children will have the chance to dunk a D.A.R.E officer at the dunk tank. The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory will also participate in the event.
Penguin Point will also host its annual Big Wheel Races, with registration taking place from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and the races beginning at 7 p.m. in the park. The contest is for ages 4-7. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the first 100 entries will receive a free T-shirt.
