Solomon and Katie Burkhart of Warsaw celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 25 with a trip to Kentucky and Tennessee.

Mr. Burkhart and the former Katie Rose were married July 25, 1953, in Silver Lake by Rev. Levi Hill.

Mrs. Burkhart is retired from DePuy and Mr. Burkhart is retired from Little Crow Foods, both in 1995. The Burkhart’s enjoy gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

They have one daughter, Veronica (wife of David E. Bayles), Warsaw. They are the grandparents of Jillian, Brandy and Dawn; and great-grandparents of Jessica, Gary, Emma and Amira.
