Nancy C. Harrell
Nancy C. Harrell, 83, of Claypool, Ind., and formerly of Star City, Ind., passed away at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, following a brief illness.
Nancy was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Star City, to William and Laura (Billings) Huff. She was a graduate of Star City High School. She married Lloyd W. Harrell on Dec. 24, 1950, in Star City. He preceded her in death.
Nancy was the office manager for Midwest Poultry Services, of Mentone, Ind., for over 20 years. In the earlier years, she worked in the Fulton County Courthouse. She enjoyed reading, spending time traveling to see her family and cooking.
She is survived by three daughters: LuAnn (Ed) Heitner, Lakeland, Fla.; Sara (Tim) Boganwright, Claypool; Felicia (Steven Ray) Barker, Asheville, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law: Mike Barker; two sisters: Elizabeth Purkey; Jean Cooke; and brother: John Huff.
As per her request, there will be no public visitation or services. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac, Ind.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 4666 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne. Arrangements are entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Services with King Memorial Home.
