Lyle W. Shenefield
Lyle W. Shenefield, 81, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in his residence.
He was born May 18, 1932, in Bremen, Ind., to Warren and Maree (Laudman) Shenefield. He was graduate of Bremen High School Class of 1950 and was united in marriage to Gloria Schneider on Jan. 30, 1999, in Warsaw, Ind.
He was the former owner of Town and Country Ladies Apparel until 1975 and then was employed by DePuy Inc. in orthopedic sales until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church of Warsaw and the Warsaw Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife: Gloria Shenefield, Winona Lake; a daughter: Lisa Garrett; and son: Jay (Jill) Shenefield, both of McMinniville, Ore.; a brother: Vere A. (Ruth) Shenefield, Warsaw; step-daughters: Shelley Maish, Erie, Colo.; Carol (Greg) Myers, Chicago, Ill.; and Amy Sry, San Francisco, Calif.; step-sons: Lex (Tammy) Dalton, Warsaw; and Jay (Jeannie) Maish, Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren: Davin, Ryan and Gabriel; and step-grandchildren: Dru, Derek, Brandon, Andy, Luke, Ann Dee and Dalton.
He was preceded by his first wife: Diane (Cox) Shenefield.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 26, at the church. Pastor Corinne Hodges will officiate the services. Interment will be in St. Anne’s Episcopal Church Columbarium.
