She was born to Reinert and Doris (Chase) Husmann on June 13, 1940, in LaCrosse, Wiscon. Nancy graduated from Valparaiso High School with the class of 1958. She went on to work for 1st Source Bank for 18 years and later Nisco for 13 years. She also enjoyed antiquing and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by two sons: Thomas (Betty) Slavey, Nappanee, Ind.; Jeffrey Slavey, Bremen, Ind.; five grandchildren: Alé, Shane, Alexis, Brayden and Khloe; a sister: Karen (Walt) Meyer, New Bern, N.C.; two brothers: Bill (Joyce) Husmann, Union City, Ind.; and John Husmann, Long Beach, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joan Miskell.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 22, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bremen. Pastor Roger Rohde will officiate with burial following in the Bremen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Alter Guild or to the Goshen Center for Cancer Care Research.
