Earth, Wind, Fire Headed To Morris
Legendary funk, R&B, soul,rock group Earth, Wind & Fire return to South Bend for their first concert appearance in 38 years at the Morris at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27. Original members Phillip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson lead EW&F back to South Bend for their first local appearance since Sept. 1975 at the Notre Dame A.C.C.
Formed in Chicago in 1969, Earth Wind & Fire has sold over 90 million albums worldwide. They were the first African American band to sell out New York’s Madison Square Garden. Members of The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, they performed at the White House for the first social event of President Barack Obama’s first term.
EW&F’s hit records include “Shining Star,” “That’s The Way of The World,” “Reasons,” “Sing A Song,” “September,” “After The Love Is Gone,” and “Boogie Wonderland.” Their new studio album “Now, Then & Forever” will be released Sept. 10 with new single, “My Promise” which premieres on www.NowThenandForever.com.
