Career Center Holds Appreciation Luncheon
Warsaw Area Career Center Co-Op Work-Based Learning students recently honored their supervisors at an Employer Appreciation Luncheon at the Grand Ballroom in the Wyndham Gardens in Warsaw.
The Co-Op students and Mrs. Angela Heinsman, Work-Based Learning coordinator, expressed their appreciation to their supervisors for their guidance and understanding in helping them pursue their dreams by assisting them in finding their passion and developing the skills necessary to succeed and be ahead of the competition.
The Work-Based Learning Student of the Year recipients were Kiera Stahly, who worked in the marketing department at Silveus Insurance Group under the supervision of Cassie Klenke, and Drew Schramm, who worked in the MarComm department at Biomet under the supervision of Sarah Baum and Kristen Martin.
Professional Growth Awards were presented to Nikki Abel, Austin Brumfield, Tasha Graber, Josh Hurt, Emily Propp, Areli Sanchez and Caleb Snyder.
Positive Attitude Awards were presented to Ryan Dolbee, Alex Fisher, Erica Gauger, Chris Hollopeter, Taylor Neukam, and Olivia Wallin.
Work-Based Learning Excellence Awards were presented to Esmeralda Alvarado, Jon Burch, Jordan Clark, Kelsea McDonald, Kayla Snider, Nicole Vercauteren, and Stephanie Wight.
Special guests from the Warsaw Area Career Center and WCS were Ronna Kawsky (CTE director), John Snyder (WCHS senior class principal), Diane Quance (WCHS Guidance Department chair), Diana Yarian (CTE program specialist), Randa Pearl (CTE administrative assistant), Matt Dick (WCS school board member), Dr. Craig Hintz (WCS superintendent), Mr. David Hoffert (WCS chief academic officer), and Mrs. Amy Sivley (WCS chief accountability officer).
