This fall the Kosciusko Community YMCA will be offering its first ever Adventure Race, Mission to Mariner, in partnership with Metzger Outdoors. The race will be a family friendly community event to raise funds toward shaping the future of the community by building a new Y. Starting at the current Smith Street YMCA facility, the race will bring participants in two divisions to the new site on Mariner Drive.

Starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, the family friendly version of the race for teams of up to 5 people will include several fun challenges and lead participants on a roughly 3 mile course. The athlete division for individuals will include additional challenges and a much longer course. Part of the challenge of the race is not knowing all the details. Children are hoped for and welcome, but need to be able to walk 3 miles.
