Plymouth Man Victim Of Possible Drowning
A 22-year-old Plymouth man was pronounced dead Sunday night when his body was pulled from a Culver lake.
Indiana Conservation Officers say they are investigating the possible drowning of Valentin Sirghi at Lake Maxinkuckee. According to officers, Sirghi was swimming with friends at the lake when, at about 7:30 p.m. he was reported missing.
Sirghi’s body was recovered at approximately 8 p.m. and CPR was immediately started. Sirghi was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Plymouth approximately 30 minutes later.
Authorities say the official cause of death will not be known until the autopsy report is completed and the coroner has made a final determination.
Other agencies assisting at the scene were Culver Police and Fire department and Culver EMS personnel.
