Velma L. Gruenewald
Velma L. Gruenewald, 94, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake.
Velma was born May 3, 1919, in Etna Green, Ind., to Fred C. and E. Fern (Yeiter) Williamson. She was a 1937 graduate of Atwood High School, Atwood, Ind. A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she had been an assembler for Da-Lite Screen for 14 years.
Velma was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, Ind., and of its Thursday Morning Circle of the United Methodist Women. After her retirement she enjoyed quilting and traveling. She was a hard worker and a great mom. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons: Lowell (Vera) Gruenewald, Claypool, Ind.; Dennis (Patricia) Gruenewald, Woodbury, Minn.; Warren (Kathy) Gruenewald, Winona Lake; seven grandchildren: Alissa Gruenewald and Jeff (Kayla) Gruenewald all of Claypool; Ryan Gruenewald, South Bend, Ind.; Steven (Heather) Gruenewald, Berkley, Minn.; Amanda (Bob) Michels, Woodbury, Ind.; Kaitlin Gruenewald, Winona Lake; Garrett Gruenewald, Winona Lake; two great-grandchildren: Robby and Izzy; two brothers: Ray (Denise) Williamson, Atwood; and Arden (Maxine) Williamson, Pierceton, Ind.; and sister: Lucille (Glenn) Grimm, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Lester (Helen) Williamson; and George (Doris) Williamson.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the funeral home. Pastor Toni Carmer of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
