Overbey Named Associate Director Of KCCF
The Kosciusko County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephanie Overbey to Associate Director.
“Kosciusko County is blessed to have an active, effective and caring Community Foundation,” said Community Foundation Board President, Jerry Yeager. “Our Executive Director, Suzie Light, does an outstanding job in recruiting and developing a first rate team. Stephanie is a major reason for the Foundation’s past success. We are thrilled to have her serve in a broader capacity to help drive the foundation’s mission and enhance our impact in this community.”
Suzie Light echoed Yeager’s sentiments. “In her expanded role, Stephanie will help further develop the Community Foundation’s strategic planning and evaluation efforts and will take on key grantmaking initiatives as identified by the Board.”
Overbey has over 13 years of Community Foundation experience, having served as Program Officer and most recently as Communication and Program Director. In those roles, she facilitated the Foundation’s grant and scholarship programs, led the foundation’s communications efforts, and offered technical assistance to area nonprofits in the areas of grant writing, marketing, governance and fundraising.
Her past non-Foundation professional experiences have included serving as a marketing consultant to area nonprofits and small businesses, leading study circles to address community needs, and teaching marketing at Ivy Tech Community College.
Overbey obtained an undergraduate degree in Communications from Ball State University and an MBA with a focus on Human Resources from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a graduate of the Kosciusko Leadership Academy and was awarded the Richard Lugar Excellence in Public Service and the Pete Thorn Award. She serves on the boards of Kosciusko County Educational Development and Warsaw Rotary Club, and attends the United Pentecostal Church of Warsaw. She resides in Silver Lake with her husband and three children.
