Helen C. Boyer, 84, North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Montecello, Ill., to Joseph and Lena (McLaughlin) Chalk. She graduated from Sidney High School, Sidney, Ind., in 1947. On May 14, 1949, she married Robert E. Boyer. He preceded her.
Helen was a printer at Heckman Bindery, North Manchester, for 35 years. She retired in July 2000. She was a member of St. Roberts Catholic Church, North Manchester, and enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by one daughter: Rebecca (Alex) Constantopoulos, Dumfries, Va.; one brother: Harry (Lavonne) Chalk, Columbia City, Ind.; one sister: Patricia Martin, Carmel, Ind.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester, and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East St., North Manchester. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, at the chapel. Father Andrew Curry will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
