Whitko’s Stoddard Makes History
SOUTH WHITLEY – Alex Stoddard has made history for the Whitko High School baseball program.
Stoddard, a 2013 WHS graduate, was recently named as an All-State honorable mention selection in Class 3-A by the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Stoddard, also a standout football player at Whitko, is the first Wildcat baseball player in program history to earn All-State accolades. He was tabbed All-State as an outfielder for the Wildcats.
Stoddard batted .408 during the 2013 campaign for coach Erik Hisner’s squad. He finished his senior season with three home runs, two triples, 12 doubles, 28 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
Stoddard also earned All-TRC honors as a pitcher. He went 3-1 in conference play this spring with a 1.88 ERA. Stoddard was also an All-TRC academic choice.
