Marjorie J. Mishler
Marjorie J. Mishler, 83, of Nappanee, Ind., passed away at 6:40 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, at her daughter’s residence.
She was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Nappanee, to Charles and Leota Weaver Mishler. She attended Brown Elementary School, was a graduate of New Paris High School and attended Goshen College. On May 13, 1951, she married Phil G. Mishler. He preceded her in death. Marjorie lived her lifetime in the area.
She was a homemaker, mom and a bookstore proprietor in Nappanee. She was a member of Union Center Church of the Brethren and a former member of Nappanee Noon Kiwanis. Marjorie was a volunteer for many years at Goshen Hospital and had been a 10 year 4-H member.
She is survived by her daughter: Cathy (Chris) Gillam, Nappanee; sons: Rick (Debra) Mishler, Phoenix, Ariz; John (Jack Perhan) Mishler, Niles, Mich.; nine grandchildren: Laura (Brooks) Blosser; Kelsey (Blake) Taylor; Brittney (Zac Lechlitner) Gillam; Chandler Gillam; Dan Mishler; Emily Mishler; Susannah Mishler; Elizabeth Mishler; Benjamin Mishler; two great-grandchildren: Ava Blosser; Wilson Taylor; and a sister: Betty (Allen Norris) Plunkett, Elkhart, Ind.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, at Union Center Church of the Brethren. Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee Public Library.
