On Nov. 7, 1947, he was born in Valparaiso, Ind., to Clyde and Anna Bernice (Ketchum) Bottorff.
Robert lived in various towns in Northern Indiana until moving to Winona Lake 3 years ago. He worked for Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, Ind., for 8 years. Robert loved to hunt and trap in his younger years and he loved fishing, sometimes for several days straight. He also enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by three children: Robert L. (Michelle) Bottorff Jr., Winona Lake; Ann Marie Bottorff, Mishawaka, Ind.; Clyde Ben Bottorff, Winona Lake; three grandchildren: Brittany (Mark) Johnson, Mishawaka; Chris Borton, Mishawaka; Ashlee Becker, W.Va.; two great-grandchildren: Keona and Aiden Johnson, Mishawaka; and his ex-wife: Mary Fisher, Winona Lake.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters: Joann Davis, Ruby Singleton, April Howard and Barb Arbuckle; and his brother: Dave Bottorff.
Visitation hours will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
