Warren, 49, was charged with disorderly conduct and battery by means of a deadly weapon. He was being held on a $350 bond.
According to KCSD investigators, Warren stabbed his nephew, James Kosher, 39, in the arm and wrist following a verbal altercation. Initially, Warren told officers Kosher was trying to break into his trailer at Suburban Acres and he was simply defending himself and his property.
As the investigation continued, Warren then said he and his nephew were in a physical altercation and he only stabbed Kosher in self defense after he was struck. Kosher suffered non life-threatening wounds and was treated and released at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
Kosher had been residing in a tent outside of Warren’s trailer.
Warren has two prior convictions from Kosciusko County dating to 2006 and 2007 for criminal conversion and for operating while intoxicated.
