Kosciusko Launches Youth Outreach
Kosciusko Cares is a youth outreach organization committed to at-risk prevention. The organization has recently launched a website, a sponsored project of the Otis R. Bowen Center, and which is being spearheaded by Marsha Jane Carey.
Kosciusko Cares will start with a strong social media outreach campaign to talk to local teens and start open dialogue about current teen issues. Through the campaign, the group hopes to organize a youth leadership summit during the 2013-2014 school year. As a long-term goal the organization will get feedback from area teens about future events as well as put them in leadership roles.
The Kosciusko Cares advisory board consists of leaders through area organizations such as the Syracuse Community Center, Wawasee Schools, Warsaw Schools, ULead, Camp Crosley, Grace College, and more.
If any local teens are interested in the organization they can find the group at kosciuskocares.org and contact us through the website. The organization is also on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
