Akron Town Marshal Tim Fleck was laid to rest today in grand fashion. Though a small town police officer, he was known for his big heart and a smile to match.

Fleck, 49, reportedly suffered a heart attack and passed away unexpectedly late Wednesday night.

He is being remembered for his kindness and his desire to help others.

Fleckā€™s outreach for the community he proudly served extended beyond the badge. He was a member of the Henry Township Advisory Board, a member of the Fulton County and Indiana Fraternal Order of Police and was a former member of the Henry Township Fire Department.

The community decorated Fleck’s patrol vehicle with flowers and other tokens of their sorrow. The vehicle is on display today.
