She was born April 1, 1945, in Warsaw, to Adrian and Mary (Taylor) Coplen. She was a 1963 graduate of Warsaw High School, received a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from Purdue University 1967 and Masters Degree in Psychology 1968.
She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She taught in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Arizona. In addition, she was employed in Washington, D.C., Arlington, Va., where she also owned a Hardware Store, and Warsaw. She returned to the Warsaw area in 1993. She was a licensed pilot and an avid dog lover.
She is survived by her sisters: Martha (Jim) Krema, Lombard, Ill.; Sally (Jerry) Hogan, Warsaw; and a brother: Dan (Jane) Coplen, Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.
