Mary Lois Swain
Mary Lois Swain, 91, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.
She was born July 24, 1921, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Jacob Milton and Blanche (Winebrenner) Roush. On Dec. 28, 1941, she was united in marriage to Joseph Charles W. Swain in Pierceton, Ind. He preceded her in death.
She was retired from L.M. Berry and Company of Warsaw. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Monday Evening Circle of Warsaw, and the Order of the Eastern Star #56 of Pierceton, where she was a “Past Matron”.
She is survived by her daughters: Joan Beth Maze, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Christine (Ron) Jonas, Fort Wayne; grandchildren: Jody (Jenn) Maze; Jeffrey (Jenny) Maze; Jaime Becker; Douglas (Michelle) Becker; Shelly (Brad) Rumbaugh; Matt Jonas; Stephany Chivers; niece: Rose Ann Clair; nephews: Mike Makemson; Allan Haven; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by two great-grandchildren: Joseph Douglas Becker; Gavin Joseph Maze; one sister: one brother-in-law; and two half-brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday June 14, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery Fort Wayne.
