TVS Restructures Salaries To Attract Bus Drivers
In an effort to retain quality school bus drivers and attract new drivers, the Tippecanoe Valley Board of School Trustees voted in May to restructure the salaries and benefits offered to its school bus drivers.
A significant change is in the daily rate that will be paid to new regular route drivers. Regular route drivers hired after June 1, will begin at a rate of $76 per day, a $20 increase over the previous daily rate. Regular route drivers also receive a four dollar annual increase until they reach the top of the pay scale. Regular route drivers are considered four-hour employees, though most drive approximately three hours each day.
If you are a responsible individual who enjoys working with young people, becoming a Tippecanoe Valley school bus driver is an opportunity to earn a very nice wage for part-time employment.
