One Serious Following Wednesday Crash
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and emergency personnel responded Wednesday night at 7:51 p.m. to a vehicular crash at the intersection of SR 13 and CR 400 North, just south of North Webster, Ind.
Officers located a 1991 blue, Ford pickup truck, driven by Marty Deeter, 54, of Leesburg, that had been northbound on SR 13 when it turned into the path of a southbound 2006 blue Dodge Caravan driven by Lisa A. Brough, 44, Pierceton.
North Webster EMS and Fire departments personnel extricated Deeter from the truck, who was suffering from head and neck injuries. Deeter was transferred to a Fort Wayne hospital and listed in serious, but stable condition.
The driver of the van, identified as Lisa A. Brough, 44, Pierceton, was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with pain and lacerations to her legs. She was later treated and released.
Kosciusko County F.A.C.T./crash investigators stated that alcohol and drug results are pending, but the initial investigation provided probable cause that Deeter was under the influence at the time of the crash.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department F.A.C.T. team was assisted by the North Webster EMS, Fire and Police departments.
