Live Animal Show At Lakes Festival
Children and adults can get close to and even touch some amazing animals at the Silly Safaris animal show coming to the the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival this weekend.
A Silly Safaris show is a high-energy and theatrical performance. Children and volunteers join the animals on-stage in games and various fun activities.
Each animal, game and interaction teaches something simple about nature and caring for the planet.
Since the Lakes Festival is a water-themed event, the show will focus on amphibians and reptiles. But community members will have to come to the event to see just what animals Silly Safaris brings with them from their Indianapolis headquarters.
The show will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Center Lake. For more information about the Lakes Festival, go to lakesfestival.org.
The Lakes Festival is organized by Kosciusko Lakes and Streams, a center for water research and education at Grace College, with sponsorship from Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Biomet, Zimmer, CenturyLink, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Louis Dreyfus, Silveus Insurance Group and Trupointe.
