Lakes Festival Features 5,000 Gallon Fish Tank
The Hawg Trough is a mobile 5,000 gallon fish tank that will be on display at Center Lake in Warsaw this Saturday as part of the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival.
“If you’ve ever wanted to see the fish in our lakes up close, this is your chance,” said festival coordinator, Anna Burke.
The Hawg Trough operator will provide periodic seminars and fishing demonstrations throughout the day. The fish on display will include a variety of native species like bluegill and catfish.
According to Hawg Trough owner Jim Vitaro, “The tank provides an excellent source of entertainment for young and old, seasoned anglers and novice fishermen.”
This is one of many lake-themed activities taking place over the Lakes Festival weekend in Warsaw and Winona Lake. For more information about the festival, go to lakesfestival.org.
The Lakes Festival is organized by Kosciusko Lakes and Streams, a center for water research and education at Grace College, with sponsorship from Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Biomet, Zimmer, CenturyLink, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Louis Dreyfus, Silveus Insurance Group and Trupointe.
