Tippecanoe Watershed Foundation will be hosting the second Lake Tippecanoe Cottage Tour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Five to six lake cottages will be open to tour during the event.
Those interested in participating will need to gather a crew of six or more with tickets costing $25 per person; there are only 250 tickets available so act soon. Ticket sales end July 24. Participants will also need to use their own boat. Attendees are welcomed to bring their own cooler of refreshments but are reminded not to bring food or drinks into the homes they are touring.
On the day of the tour, participants, along with their crew, will check in at Patona Bay Marina & Resort where they will receive a program for each crew member, a wristband and a tour agenda. Check-in times will be assigned after TWF receives registrations. All participants will also receive goody bags filled with items provided by event sponsors.
An after-tour beach party, featuring live music, will be held at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club from 7 p.m. to midnight. An additional fee will be applied. To register, call 574-453-4441.
Light Up the Night will occur at 10 p.m. with participants having the opportunity to release floating Chinese wishing lanterns. Lanterns cost $5 each and can be picked up at the check-in.
In case of bad weather, the tour will be rescheduled to noon Sunday, July 28.
All proceeds benefit TWF, an organization that aims to protect and improve the lakes and streams of the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed.
