Harlan J. Wuthrich
Harlan J. Wuthrich, 84, of Milford, Ind., passed away on May 26, 2013, at Lakeland Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
He was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Milford, to Peter and Laura (Graff) Wuthrich. On Oct. 20, 1950, he married Nancy Knee who survives.
Harlan was a lifelong area resident and was an area farmer until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, the Warsaw Square dancers club and the Syracuse Eagles. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending the winters in Fort Myers Beach, Fla. He enjoyed people.
He is survived by his wife; one son: Andrew Wuthrich, Silver Lake, Ind.; one daughter: Rebecca Moorefield, Milford; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother: Glenn ‘Pete’ Wuthrich, Nappanee, Ind.; a sister: Irene (Jim) Sumpter, Milford; and a sister-in-law: Dee Wuthrich, Milford.
Harlan was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Wayne and Donald Wuthrich.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Milford United Methodist Church. A celebration of Harlan’s life will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Reverend Rob Nelson will officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice, Milford United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army.
