North Webster Public Library News
There’ll be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at the North Webster Public Library next week with the Jump Up! Family Music Show at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12. Musician Dana McCarthy will provide a lively, interactive, musical experience that encourages kids to experience the music through dancing, sing-alongs, rhythm and musical games.
This is a Summer Reading Program event that takes place in the North Webster Community Center Banquet Hall. Everyone is welcome. Kids who are part of the Summer Reading Program should bring their Reading Passports to be stamped at the event.
In fact, the whole week will be lively in the youth services department. The week starts off with the children of the North Webster Day Care visiting the library for story time at 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, June 10; then Mrs. Pam takes her popular Story Time to the North Webster Latch Key program at 1 p.m.
The summer session of Preschool Story Time starts up at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, June 11 to July 23 (except for July 2). Children ages three to six will be “Digging Fun with Mrs. Pam”. The week concludes with Friday Family Food and Fun Day with sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. June 14. The theme will focus on gardens as the kids create three garden crafts and sample a garden food. Advance registration is required, so stop by the Youth Services Desk to sign your child up or call 574-834-7122 ext. 202.
Hunting for bargains? Strapped for cash? Learn how to buy and sell on eBay. The Library will once again be offering its popular “EBay for Beginners” class at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8. The class is free and you don’t need to sign up in advance. Just show up and bring a friend.
When rainy weather ruins your summer plans, it’s the perfect opportunity to come to the Library. Find a great book to read, check out movies, browse through a newspaper, surf the net, explore your family tree or take advantage of one of the many programs going on at the Library. The best part is it’s all free!
