Josh Gracin, the U.S. Marine who became an instant fan-favorite during American Idol season two, is the musical headliner at the 14th annual Vintage Indiana Wine & Food Festival. The event is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Military Park in Downtown Indianapolis.
The annual festival is a showcase for the rapidly-expanding Hoosier wine industry. Over 10,000 wine enthusiasts from throughout the Midwest are expected to attend the event, billed as “the Biggest Celebration of Indiana Wines.”
More than 300 wines from 29 of Indiana’s 70 wineries will be available for tasting. Participating wineries also will sell wines by the bottle and case. Other festival attractions include the live music performances featuring Gracin, Cari Ray and Jennie DeVoe; wine and food pairing demonstrations; a fantastic variety of food including top area food trucks; an eclectic arts and crafts showcase, Kids’ Zone; and much more.
Advance sale tickets are available at all Marsh Supermarkets, and also on-line at www.VintageIndiana.com. Advance sale tickets are $22 for adults age 21 and over (a $3 savings over gate admission). Designated drivers’ tickets are $10; youth tickets for ages 6-20 are $5. Children age 5 and under are offered free admission.
Gracin is a Michigan native whose fourth album is scheduled for release this summer. His previous albums, “Josh Gracin,” “We Weren’t Crazy” and “Redemption” produced the No. 1 hit, “Nothin’ to Lose.”
“Josh Gracin is a terrific talent to headline at Vintage Indiana,” said Jeanette Merritt, director of marketing for Indiana Wines. “His music spans a couple of genres, and, along with performances by Cari Ray and Jennie DeVoe, we have a pretty dynamic entertainment line-up set for this year’s event. We’re expecting Gracin Nation to be out en force!”
For the second consecutive year, the JW Marriott is Vintage Indiana’s host hotel. Located within easy walking distance of Military Park at 10 South West Street, the luxurious JW is offering a Vintage Indiana overnight package that includes two adult tickets to the festival plus fantastic rates on room accommodations.
