Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Friday, May 31, 7:12 a.m. 2501 Walton Blvd. Drivers: Stephen K. Kimmerling, 35, River Avenue East, Warsaw; and Gregory T. Blauser, 43, East 1150 North, Milford. Both drivers were backing from parking spaces and collided. Damages: up to $5,000
Thursday, May 30, 10:43 p.m. West Center and North Miami streets. Driver: Juan Sanchez Brito, 17, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Brito was westbound on Center Street when a cat ran into his path. He swerved to miss it and ran into the yard of 716 W. Center St. striking a tree, a trash can and a mailbox before coming to a stop in the yard of 720 W. Center St. Brito was cited for violation of a learner’s permit. Damages: up to $2,500
Thursday, May 30, 6:12 p.m. East Winona Avenue and South Scott Street. Drivers: David Diaz, 35, East Center Street, Warsaw; and Rebecca L. Whiteman, 50, North 700 West, Silver Lake. Diaz attempted to turn left at Winona Avenue on a green light but pulled into the path of Whiteman’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accident:
Thursday, May 30, 9:53 p.m. West 250 South, Warsaw. Driver: Marino A. Acosta Brito, 32, West 250 South, Warsaw. Brito said a deer ran into his path, causing him to drive off the road and strike a tree. Damages: up to $10,000
Milford Police Department
Officers of the Milford Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Friday, May 31, 4:28 a.m. North SR 15 and Section Street, Milford. Drivers: Mason J. Gwin, 19, North Buffalo Street, Warsaw; and Wendell W. Hochstetler, 69, State Line Road, Middlebury. Gwin ran into a trailer being pulled by Hochstetler as it was stopped at a traffic signal. Damages: up to $5,000
