Today, the Burket Educational Center hosted its annual Graduate Honors Reception in honor of 16 students who participated in the alternative education program. The students will receive a diploma June 2 as a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School.
Crystal Weida, instructional assistant for the alternative education program at the Burket Educational Center, is retiring after nine years of dedicated service. Mrs. Weida was honored with a plaque during today’s Graduate Honors Reception held in the Burket Historical
Gymnasium.

The featured speaker for the event was TVHS Counselor Scott Bibler. This year’s theme at the Burket Educational Center was, “Education: A Strong Building Block to Your Future.”
This was the 10th year for the alternative education program at the Burket Educational Center. During that time, the program at Burket has honored a total of 189 graduates.
