Ruth Ann Marner
Ruth Ann Marner, 15, of Cromwell, Ind., passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Ind.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1997, in Goshen, Ind., to Timothy L. and Nancy J. (Sparkman) Marner.
She lived most of her life in the Cromwell/Syracuse area and was a freshman at Wawasee High School in Syracuse, Ind. She was a member of the Sea Scouts in Enchanted Hills and formerly attended Calvary United Lutheran Church in Cromwell and Salem United Baptist Church in Rome City, Ind.
She is survived by her mother and father; two brothers: Russell Marner, Cromwell; Brian Marner, Topeka, Ind.; grandparents: Ruth and Bill Hart, Somerset, Ky.; and step-sister: Ruby Martin, Claypool, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother: Teresa Marner; maternal grandfather: Sampie Sparkman; and paternal grandparents: Claude and Sue Marner.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24, at Salem United Baptist Church, SR 9, Rome City. Visitation and funeral services will also take place in Kentucky with burial to take place at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pippa Passes, Ky.
