Carol J. Geiger
Carol J. Geiger, 80, of Nappanee, Ind., formerly of Milford, Ind., passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Center Care for Hospice in Elkhart, Ind.
She was born on March 29, 1933, in Nappanee to Charles A. and Wanda E. (Rollins) Weisser. She lived most of her life in the Milford/Nappanee area and graduated in 1951 from Milford High School. On May 24, 1970, in Milford, Ind., she married Robert Kaiser who preceded her in June 1980 and then on July 20, 1985 in Nappanee she married Robert E. ‘Bob’ Geiger, who survives.
She retired from Milford Family Physicians after 25 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper. She was formerly employed with First National Bank of Warsaw for 13 1/2 years. She was a member of the Living Gospel Church in Nappanee, Wawasee Camp of Gideon’s International Auxiliary in Syracuse and worked with Lakeland Child Evangelism Ministries in Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband; four step-daughters: Donna Madison, Goshen, Ind.; Rose (Brock) Rose, Goshen; Amy (Jeff) Martin, Wakarusa, Ind.; Jean Miller, Indianapolis, Ind.; two step-sons: Grant (Karla) Geiger, New Paris, Ind.; Steven (Joyce) Kaiser, Milford; 13 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: LeeAnn (William) Gladieux, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Joyce (Jim) Warren, Granger, Ind.
She was preceded by her parents and first husband.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May, 25, at Living Gospel Church, 302 W. Walnut St, Nappanee, with Reverend Mike Roasch and Reverend Dave Soliday of the church officiating. Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Milford Cemetery, CR 60, Milford.
