Evan Fidler won a book during National Children’s Book Week at the Syracuse Public LIbrary. Each day a winner was drawn from the kids that had visited the library that day. Other winners were: Marisa Kaufman, Brandon Tayagua, Samantha Pressler and Noah Stouder.
Summer Reading Starts June 4th
Ronald McDonald is presenting a show at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 4. The children’s department is kicking off “Dig into Reading,” the summer reading program for kids from three years through fifth grade. Sign-up begins June 4 and prizes can be collected the week beginning Monday, June 10. It is important to get a start on reading to be eligible to play in the video Gametruck on Tuesday, July 9.
Miss Gisela (Vore), is having Thursday Tea Parties so be sure to get your child’s name on the registration sheet. Tea Parties are popular and an invitation is required to attend.
Teen Times begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, with the planting of plant ladders for the enjoyment of library patrons. Young Adults that register in the Beneath the Surface reading program and read four books can spend a couple of hours in the video Gametruck on July 9th. Weekly prizes will be awarded to participants and a final drawing will reward the winner with a $50 gift card to Walmart.
Terrific Tuesdays, Thursday Tea Times, Teen Times and Fantastic Friday Films are open to any individuals. Registration in Dig into Reading and Beneath the Surface are not required to attend. Contact the library at 574-457-3022.
