Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, May 20, 4:59 a.m. U.S. 30 and CR 325, Warsaw. Driver: Sara M. Russell, 60, South 1st Street, Pierceton. Driver said she struck a deer on the highway. No deer could be located. Damages: up to $2,500
Sunday, May 19, 3:41 p.m. East Arthur and North Detroit streets. Drivers: Alysha M. Bellamy, 20, Tippecanoe Drive, Warsaw; and Douglas E. Yoder, 53, East 97th Ave., Crown Point. Bellamy said she was watching a police vehicle that had pulled over another vehicle and collided with the back of Yoder’s vehicle as he was stopped, waiting to make a turn. Damages: up to $2,500
Sunday, May 19, 6:48 p.m. 2584 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Driver: Erika D. Bias, 17, West 100 North, Warsaw. Bias pulled into a parking space at Rue 21 but stepped on the gas instead of the brake. Her vehicle lunged forward hitting a parked bicycle and the front of the business causing the window to break. Damages: less than $1,000
Saturday, May 18, 1:28 p.m. Jalynn Street and Walton Boulevard. Drivers: Bradley S. Sorensen, 22, West 1000 North, Milford; and Daniel A. Luna-Pineda 18, Parker Street, Warsaw. Sorensen said he stopped at the stop sign on Walton Boulevard and Jalynn Street but failed to see an approaching vehicle, driven by Luna-Pineda, and pulled into his path. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, May 18, 9:33 a.m. East Market and South Johnson streets. Drivers: Linda M. McKee, 42, South Packerton Road, Silver Lake; and Qianhui Zhao, 23, Kuder Lane, Warsaw. McKee rear-ended Zhao’s vehicle when it slowed for traffic. Zhao complained of head pain. Damages: up to $10,000
Friday, May 17, 5:03 p.m. East Pope and South McClellan streets. Drivers: Chris M. Gensinger, 56, Isle View Drive, Winona Lake; and Quinten D. Stamper, 22, North Murphy Lane, Warsaw. Gensinger began to turn the wrong direction and attempted to correct the error but was not able to move out of the path of Stamper’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000

Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Saturday, May 18, 5:35 p.m. South 600 West and West 1300 South, Silver Lake. Driver: Brandon D. Wayne Clark, 25, South Old Rd. 13, Pierceton. Clark said it felt like a tire blew and he lost control of his vehicle, which left the road and rolled several times. Damages: up to $10,000
Saturday, May 18, 12:02 p.m. 3294 E. U.S. 30, Warsaw. Driver: Richard L. Cole, 72, West 400 South, South Whitley. Cole was backing from a parking space and struck a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, May 17, 10 p.m. CRs 25 and 900 West, Mentone. Driver: Brad A. Brubaker, 20, South Viking Drive, Mentone. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, May 17, 9:19 a.m. North 200 West and U.S. 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Lucky J. Winters, 20, Balboa Cv., Fort Wayne; and Clint R. Bessinger, 51, SR 110, Tippecanoe. Winters rear-ended Bessinger’s vehicle at a stop sign. Damages: up to $5,000
