ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team saved its best for last Monday night.
The visiting Vikings plated two runs in their final at-bat in the seventh to top Rochester 3-1 in Three Rivers Conference action.
Tanner Andrews had two hits and scored two runs for the Vikings in the victory.
Winning pitcher Clayton Adamson had two RBI for Valley. Drake Hyden also had an RBI for the winners.
Valley outhit the Zebras 6-5 in the contest.
Valley, now 8-9 overall and 4-2 in the TRC, plays at Concord Tuesday. The Vikings return to league play Wednesday with a trip to Wabash.
