Wildcats Back In Win Column
SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko baseball team returned to its winning ways Friday night.
The Wildcats, after a pair of tough setbacks in conference play earlier this week, topped Columbia City 5-3 in a non-conference contest.
Zach Snep led the way for the hosts by going 3-4 at the plate with an RBI and a pair of stolen bases.
The trio of Ethan Nicodemus, Garrett Smiley and Hunter Sroufe were each 2-3 for the Wildcats.
Wyatt Wolf notched the pitching win for Whitko with Ryan Weigold coming on the get the save.
Jordan Bickle went 3-4 to pace the Columbia City offense. Ross Elkins took the pitching loss for the Eagles.
Whitko, now 16-7 on the season, will play at TRC foe North Miami Monday at 5 p.m.
