ABATE Hosts Burn Camp Charity Event
Region 1 American Bikers Aimed Towards Education of Indiana Presents the 2013 ABC Ride for Hoosier Burn Camp. The ride will begin at the Atwood Community Center at 213 Hover St., Atwood, Ind., at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11.
Donations raised from the event will benefit the Hoosier Burn Camp, a camp dedicated to children who have been the victims of serious burn wounds. The camp’s goal is to help children feel like “just one of the kids.”
The event will include an escorted ride through town to the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. At the ride’s conclusion a party will begin at the fairgrounds. The cost of the event is $15 per person. Those age 14 and under are admitted for free.
In addition to the ride, the event will also feature a live music, a bike show, food, a bounce house and a water ball tournament hosted by Warsaw Volunteer Fire Department. Water ball teams will consist of five people with a $100 entry fee per team. Those interested may sign up early or at the event. To sign up contact Terry Himes at 574-265-1692.
In addition to the many events planned for guests amusement, ABATE will also be providing a new Harley-Davidson drawing for every $50 donation from a guest.
