UPDATE: One Flown From Oswego Crash
An Illinois man was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Oswego Tuesday afternoon.
Although a completed accident report is not yet finished today, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Chad Hill tells us James Gall, 82, of Leesburg, was westbound on Armstrong Road and attempted to turn left into the Oswego convenience store. Gall pulled directly into the path of an eastbound truck driven by Angel Nocelot, 55, of Aurora, Ill.
Nocelot’s passenger, Avangelina Solorzano, 42, also of Aurora, sustained a head injury and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Nocelot was airlifted by Parkview Samaritan helicopter in serious but stable condition with a head injury.
Gall was transported to Goshen General Hospital with complain of pain over his entire body.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies, Multi-Township EMS and the Leesburg/Plain Township Fire Department responded to the crash just after 5 p.m. Multi-Township EMS transported Nocelot to Leesburg Elementary School where he was then flown.
