Bloom Bound For IPFW
WARSAW – Warsaw senior standout Jared Bloom has finally found his college basketball home.
The Tiger guard announced via Twitter late Wednesday night that he will be a preferred walk-on at IPFW next season.
The underrated Bloom had a stellar senior season for coach Doug Ogle’s team. He led the Tigers in scoring at 17.5 points-per-game and also averaged 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest. Bloom also led the Tigers in 3-pointers.
Bloom helped Warsaw post a 13-11 mark during the 2012-13 season. The Tigers upset heavily favored Concord en route to winning the Class 4-A Elkhart Central Sectional title before losing to South Bend Adams in a semifinal game of the Michigan City Regional.
Bloom played in the McDonald’s Michiana All-Star Game in March at Bethel College and also took part in the Top 60 Senior Workout following the season.
Bloom also considered Anderson, Valparaiso and the University of Indianapolis before choosing to walk-on with IPFW.
