She was born Feb. 15, 1963, in Wabash County, Ind., to William and Kathryn (Renicker) O’Hara. They both survive. On June 1, 1991, Joy was united in marriage to Mark S. Young in North Manchester, Ind. He survives.
She was the secretary of North Central Co-Op for over 10 years. Before that she was the secretary at Winona Corporation for 14 years. Joy graduated from North Manchester High School in 1981. She enjoyed bowling, her chickens, and all aspects of farm life as well as being active in Kosciusko County 4-H in goats, sheep and poultry.
She is survived by her husband; her parents; daughters: Mariah (Austin Metzger) Young, North Manchester, Ind.; Megan Young, Mentone; Christy Berger, Rochester, Ind.; sons: Josh Young, Rochester; Jermey Young, Rochester; seven grandchildren; sister: Maryann (Jack) Bever, Lagro, Ind.; brothers: Dan (Loni) O’Hara, Silver Lake, Ind.; Patrick O’Hara, South Whitley, Ind.
She was preceded by her grandchild and her brother: Scott O’Hara.
Visitation will be held 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at King Memorial Home, Mentone. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, at the funeral home.
