Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Thursday, April 18, 11:53 a.m. South Detroit and East Market streets. Drivers: Zachary M. Gray, 19, East Center Street, Warsaw; and Joshua D. Hurt, 17, East Sage Drive, Warsaw. Gray said he was not able to stop in time to avoid a rear-end collision with Hurt’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Thursday, April 18, 8:49 a.m. East Center and North Harrison streets. Drivers: Cliffton W. Davis, 35, North Old Road 15, Warsaw; Deborah R. Cataldo, 42, North 500 East, Syracuse; and Judith A. Boggs, 72, Bluewater Drive, Warsaw. Davis was westbound on Center Street and rear-ended Cataldo’s when he said she stopped so suddenly. The crash caused a chain reaction collision. Damages: up to $10,000.
Wednesday, April 17, 7:38 p.m. North Detroit and Jalynn Street. Drivers: Jason A. Stone, 38, East Lake Tahoe Trail, Warsaw; and Renah E. Call, 63, U.S. 6, New Paris. Stone said he initially thought he had the right-of-way and pulled into the path of Call’s vehicle, which struck Stone’s vehicle on the passenger side. Damages: up to $25,000
Wednesday, April 17, 11:53 a.m. East Main and East Bronson streets. Drivers: Justin L. Poe, 27, West 3rd Street, North Manchester; and Dixie B. Pifer, 53, East Main Street, Warsaw. Poe said he stopped at the intersection but thought it was a four-way stop and proceeded out into the patch of Pifer’s vehicle. Police discovered an arrest warrant for Poe and took him into custody at the scene. Damages: up to $2,500

Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accident:
Wednesday, April 17, 5:41 a.m. 2133 N. Cessna Rd., Warsaw. Driver: Leah L. Boardley, 40, P.O. Box, North Webster. Boardley released the parking brake on her vehicle which rolled into a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
