Warsaw Police
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, April 2, 7:44 p.m. 1454 Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Driver: Regina L. Anderson, 19, South McClellan Street, Warsaw. Anderson was driving through a parking lot at Ivy Tech and collided with a light pole. Damages: up to $5,000
Tuesday, April 2, 5:24 p.m. Argonne Road and East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Alison R. Himes, 18, West 525 South, Claypool; Christopher S. Gavranic, 29, North Woodlawn Avenue, Griffith; Britany L. Root, 19, Herscher Road, Warsaw; and Thomas C. Sweeny, 51, South 275 East, Warsaw. Himes said she was southbound on Argonne Road and dropped cigarette ashes on her seat. As she looked down to wipe it off and then looked back up, she noticed traffic had stopped for a red light. She struck the back of Gavranic’s vehicle. The impact caused a chain reaction collision among the four vehicles. A passenger in Himes vehicle, Makita Till, 18, of Claypool, suffered a bloody nose but refused medical treatment. A second passenger in that vehicle, Abigail Cuban, 18, Winona Lake, complained of wrist pain but also refused treatment. Gavranic was taken to KCH for treatment of neck pain. Damages: up to $10,000
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accident:
Wednesday, April 3, 7:07 a.m. South 700 East and East 650 South, Sidney. Driver: Rebecca Steele, 52, South 700 East, Sidney. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000
